The museum publishes an annual scientific journal and various other volumes related to its scientific, educational, and outreach activities. The current scientific journal is Quaderni del Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Ferrara, ISSN 2283-6918. In addition to articles produced by the Museum staff, the journal welcomes works submitted by other researchers. It is divided into sections: Geology and Paleontology, Botany, Zoology, and Ecology, along with a column on the Museum’s activities.
All manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial board and two independent reviewers to ensure the quality of the articles. One approved article will be published by the end of the calendar year.
